Asunción, Agencia, IP.- President Santiago Peña spent the last day of his official visit to Italy today with meetings with representatives of business groups from sectors such as food, renewable energy, textiles, construction, and pharmaceuticals, among others.
Peña was received by the President and shareholders of the company Fratelli Beretta, a producer of sausages and cold cuts since 1812, with an annual turnover of more than 750 million euros.
The Paraguayan President provided information about the meeting on his X account, where he published that «Paraguayan meat is part of the production of Fratelli Beretta products» while discussing investment and development opportunities in our country.
The family group members gifted a jersey of the Paraguayan player Tony Sanabria with a dedication to the Head of State.

«I participated in a meeting with Italian businessmen from clothing, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, energy, technology, food, and other sectors. We talked about the investment opportunities in our country and the great potential of our people,» the President reported on his agenda developed in Milan.
Representatives of the Fiorentini Group, the Colacem Group, and the CB Omnia Group also received the President and his entourage. The first one is dedicated to renewable energies and technological solutions for natural gas supply chains, with a distribution network that reaches more than 100 countries.
The Colacem Group is a leading cement and concrete producer in Italy with production plants in Tunisia, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Albania, and its native country.
CB Omnia is dedicated to providing technology to hospital centers, such as surgical robots, ultrasound devices, electrosurgery, and oncology. The company offers turnkey projects that accompany the client throughout the entire process, from design to management of the installed hospital environments.
Visit to Italy
President Santiago Peña concluded his visit that began on Sunday, which included an audience with Pope Francis, meetings with business people in the technology area and industrial representatives, and with Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
Starting tomorrow, the President will participate in the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 28). There, he will present the carbon credits enacted under his government, which, according to him, are innovative solutions to promote conservation and economic growth.
