Asunción, Agencia IP.- To strengthen economic ties and generate new business and investment opportunities, the Paraguay Country Presentation in Italy will take place on June 15th. This business and institutional event will be held at the historic Palazzo Tursi in Genoa.

The event will bring together authorities, businesspeople, and investors from both countries and is part of an agenda focused on consolidating bilateral cooperation between Paraguay and Italy, especially in a context marked by the new trade prospects stemming from the European Union-Mercosur Agreement.

The Italian Ambassador to Paraguay, Marcello Fondi, highlighted the event’s strategic importance and extended a special invitation to the Paraguayan business sector to participate.

According to the diplomat, the Country Presentation provides a concrete platform for Italian businesspeople and investors to learn about Paraguay’s competitive advantages, productive potential, and investment opportunities, while also deepening the political and economic dialogue between the two countries.

The presentation is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in coordination with the Italian Embassy in Paraguay, the Investment and Export Network (Rediex), and the Italian-Paraguayan Chamber of Commerce. It is also sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the Liguria Region, and the City of Genoa.

The activities will take place between June 13 and 15 and will include institutional sessions, country presentations, and business meetings focused on trade, investment, and productive cooperation.

Genoa was chosen as the event’s venue due to its historical and strategic importance as one of Europe’s main ports and a historic center of international maritime trade. The birthplace of Christopher Columbus, Genoa, continues to play a key role in logistics, foreign trade, and connecting international markets.

The event is open to businesspeople, investors, and representatives of the industrial and commercial sectors interested in exploring opportunities for cooperation with the Italian market.
