Asunción, Agencia IP.- In a collaborative effort, business leaders from the American Paraguayan Chamber of Commerce (Usapac) and the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, met to discuss strategies for strengthening bilateral trade between Paraguay and the United States, considering Paraguay’s potential in various sectors.
During the meeting, the Chamber’s President, Martín Cardozo, expressed his gratitude to President Peña for visiting the Usapac headquarters and discussing bilateral trade and business between the United States and Paraguay.
Since its founding in 2020, Usapac has been instrumental in strengthening commercial ties between Paraguay and the United States. It serves as a crucial bridge for companies and investors interested in both markets, making a significant impact on bilateral trade.
Cardozo emphasized the four fundamental pillars of Usapac, which include supporting Paraguayan companies seeking to expand in the United States and backing businesses of Paraguayans already established in North America.
Also, he highlighted the organization’s role in influencing the development of policies affecting free trade and the interests of its members.
Carlos Jorge Biederman, a prominent member of the official delegation, stressed the need to establish direct flights between Paraguay and the United States, as well as the South American country’s potential in sectors such as food production and renewable energy.
Biederman also underscored the importance of the Business Advisory Council, led by Foreign Minister Rubén Ramírez, as a platform for dialogue between the private sector and the Paraguayan government.
