Asunción, Agencia IP.- Danielle Dunne, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Stewart Ross Wheeler, Canada’s Ambassador to the Argentine Republic and concurrently to the Republic of Paraguay, presented copies of their credentials to the Foreign Affairs Minister, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano.
Minister Ramírez reviewed the bilateral agenda with the new representatives, highlighting the country’s excellent relations with both nations.
Danielle Dunne previously served as Head of the Counterterrorism Network for West Africa and the Sahel, as well as the Evaluation Unit. She was a Senior Evaluation Advisor, Advisor for Evaluation Methods, and Evaluation Advisor for Afghanistan and Pakistan under the Department for International Development (DFID).
Additionally, she worked as a Senior Research Officer at the Office for Security and Counterterrorism, a Research Officer at the National Policing Improvement Agency, and an Associate Researcher at Queen Mary University.
Meanwhile, Stewart Ross Wheeler has over 29 years of experience in foreign service, with postings in Washington, London, Bogotá, Kabul, and India, and from 2012 to 2016, served as Canada’s Ambassador to Iceland.
Stewart worked outside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Press Secretary to the Governor General of Canada from 1999 to 2004 and as Associate Deputy Minister of International Relations and Chief of Protocol at Ontario’s Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs from 2016 to 2018. His headquarters assignments have included Summit Management, Parliamentary and Cabinet Affairs, Mexico Relations, and Communications.
