Asunción, Agencia IP.- The President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, arrived in Manila, Philippines, on Sunday, where he will carry out a full agenda of meetings with government officials and representatives from the business sector starting Monday, as part of his official visit.

Upon his arrival, Peña was received by Minister Maria Aldeguer-Roque, Secretary of the Department of Commerce and Industry of the Philippines.

On Monday, Peña will meet with the President of the Philippines, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., at Malacañang Palace.

The two leaders will later hold an expanded meeting with their delegations and preside over a signing ceremony for agreements between the Republic of Paraguay and the Republic of the Philippines.

One of the agreements to be signed is a Memorandum of Understanding between the Paraguayan Investment and Export Network (Rediex) and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On this day, the president will participate in a high-level business dialogue with representatives of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during which the presentation «Paraguay’s Economic Outlook» will be given.

President Peña also plans to meet with Jollibee’s Global CEO, Ernesto Tanmantiong.
