Paraguayan Migration Authority completes assisted return of migrants from the U.S.

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Paraguayan Directorate of Migration reported that the assisted voluntary return process for 16 foreign from the United States has concluded, with the departure of the last two members of the group, as part of a procedure coordinated internationally.

These individuals had entered Paraguay on April 23rd under a temporary stay agreement, as part of a cooperation program between the Republic of Paraguay and the United States.

With this final departure, all 16 migrants returned to their countries of origin, in accordance with the established plan for this type of assistance.

According to the official report, the entire procedure was conducted under strict institutional controls and international verification mechanisms, guaranteeing a regulated temporary stay and a safe, orderly, and assisted return.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM), with the support of national security agencies, was responsible for the arrangements related to the transfer, assistance, and accommodation.
