Asunción, Agencia IP.- The National Directorate of Migration (DNM) informed the public and the community of foreign migrants in the country about the preliminary 2026 calendar of the MigraMóvil program, an initiative designed to bring migration documentation services closer to various localities across the national territory.
The schedule includes editions planned throughout the year, distributed across all four quarters, and is subject to possible adjustments in dates and venues, depending on space availability and the operational conditions of the mobile teams. This planning will allow migrants to prepare their documentation in advance for residence applications or other procedures.
The first MigraMóvil 2026 edition is scheduled for the second week of February in Ciudad del Este, marking the start of an agenda that will combine regular and reduced modalities in different parts of the country. The exact dates and venues for each session will be confirmed in due course through the official channels of the National Directorate of Migration.
The program seeks to expand, decentralize, and expedite migration services, ensuring an efficient and accessible process for the regularization of foreigners in Paraguay and the documentation of new migrants. Through an itinerant scheme, mobile teams help with the reception, processing, and delivery of migration documents.
Under the regular modality, operations take place in high-demand cities, where residence cards and other documents are processed and issued. The reduced modality, meanwhile, consists of shorter sessions in lower-demand localities, focusing on the reception of residence applications and other procedures.
Available services include temporary and permanent residence, residence extensions, replacement and renewal of residence cards, certificates of residence, extensions of stay, spontaneous or occasional residence, cancellation of applications, and migration movement certificates, some of which are completed later at the central office.
MigraMóvil editions are carried out with the support of various institutions, including the National Police, through its IT and Interpol departments, for the issuance of criminal record certificates for foreigners; the Secretariat for Repatriates (Sederrec), which assists foreigners with family ties to Paraguayan citizens; and the National Refugee Commission (CONARE), which provides guidance to asylum seekers. Logistical support is also provided by the regional governments and municipalities where the operations take place.
