The Paraguayan Chaco stands out as a priority tourism potential

Asunción, Agencia IP.- Within the framework of the 5th Forum of the Subnational Territories of the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor, held from June 19 to 21 in Filadelfia, the tourism potential of the Paraguayan Chaco was one of the central themes. The National Secretariat of Tourism (Senatur), headed by the Minister of Tourism, Angie Duarte, highlighted the importance of promoting this region as a priority tourist destination.

Minister Duarte stated: «Senatur is always present. We are working closely from the National Secretariat of Tourism to promote the Paraguayan Chaco as a first-class tourist destination.» This international forum, which brought together Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay delegations, offered an ideal platform to highlight the Chaco region’s tourist attractions and cultural wealth.

Over the course of the three-day event, a myriad of activities were organized, offering attendees a deeper insight into the Paraguayan Chaco. Guided tours of Neuland, Fortín Boquerón, Fortín Toledo, and the Taguá Project were among the highlights, unveiling the region’s rich history and biodiversity.

The workshops and visits to construction sites, such as the Bioceanic bridge by the river, highlighted the infrastructure initiatives that support the region’s tourist and economic development.

Chaco gastronomy had a special place in the forum, with tastings of typical foods that delighted attendees. In addition, the presentations and the business roundtable offered opportunities to discuss strategies and alliances for tourism development in Chaco.

The scheduled tour of the Loma Plata commercial and industrial zone allowed participants to learn about the region’s economic development and investment opportunities.

The forum concluded with the first international festival of the bioceanic corridor. This event not only celebrated international cooperation but also showcased the cultural vitality of the Paraguayan Chaco.
