Asunción, Agencia IP.- The President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, initiates his official visit to the United States today, extending until October 25. He will meet the Paraguayan community in the foreign country on his first day.

The arrival of President Peña to Washington DC, the Capital of the United States, is due at 3 p.m. today, according to the Direction of Presidency Information.

At 5 p.m., the Head of State will visit Rock Creek Park, a big urban park located northeast of the city. After, at 6 p.m., President Peña will maintain an encounter with the Paraguayan community in the United States. The meeting will be at the Consulate of Paraguay.

During this official visit, the President will be present on different international forums, such as the Permanent Council of the Organizations of American States (OAS), where he will provide a conference, according to the Paraguayan Chancellery.

Likewise, he will be a leading expositor along with businessperson Jeff Bezos in the International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF) forum. There, the President will expose Paraguay’s environmental development policies and economy.

Also, it is planned to meet with senators and representatives from the United States Congress and with foundations linked to investment and bilateral commerce between Paraguay and the United States.
