Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, participated on Wednesday in the Ministerial Meeting on Critical Minerals held in Washington, D.C., where he signed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in this area.
The meeting, convened by the Government of the United States, brought together allied countries to strengthen the security and resilience of supply chains for strategic minerals.
Through the Memorandum of Understanding, Paraguay and the United States commit to intensifying cooperation efforts to accelerate the secure supply of critical minerals needed to support the manufacturing of advanced and defense technologies, as well as to strengthen their respective industrial bases.
The agreement includes leveraging existing policy tools, such as U.S. industrial demand and storage infrastructure, as well as Paraguay’s strategic reserves.
