MITIC facilitates government procedures through the Payment Button

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Ministry of Technologies of Information and Communication (MITIC, by its acronym in Spanish) promotes digital transformation in Paraguay by implementing the Payment Button in the website for the online request and emission of documents.

This innovative approach allows citizens to access over ten fee payment options, including QR, digital wallets and banking apps.

Until now, over 634,000 citizens have enabled their Electronic Identity through the Single Government Portal, a website that allows them to request all kinds of governmental documents 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from any electronic device.

The procedures available in the portal include the emission of Judicial Record Reports, Birth Certificates, Police Record Certificates, vaccination records, and records of studies and courses taken, among others.

According to the statistics from the portal, over 4,500,000 documents were issued through the website. The Judicial Records process, enabled in August, has already recorded the issuance of 4,000 digital documents.

One of the critical elements of the Single Government Portal is the Payment Button, developed by MITIC, enabling citizens to pay the fees for those procedures that require it directly from the same site.

With over ten payment options, including the QR payment, this functionality facilitates using digital wallets and financial entities, simplifying procedures with the State and saving citizens time.

Over the following months, it plans to include approximately 120 online procedures through the Digital Agenda Support Program, executed by MITIC.

This would allow to advance even more in the development of digital government, the digitalization of processes and the improvement of the delivery of public services, aiming to enhance the efficiency at the attention of the citizens and promoting transparency in the management of the state institutions, saving time and money for all involved.

To receive assistance or present claims, citizens can access the site or communicate through the available telephone lines, 151 from cell phones or 021 151 from a landline, from Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. MITIC is committed to guaranteeing a quality and accessible service for all citizens.
